Hematites-Patriots football game called off on Friday night
ISHPEMING — Due to the death of an Ishpeming High School student in the past several days, the school has postponed or canceled all of its varsity sporting events for the rest of this week.
That includes the Hematites’ home football game against Westwood that was scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, according to athletic director Terry Roberts. Volleyball and cross country participation were called off on Tuesday.
School officials haven’t released other details about the death.
