NMU grad Jackson head MTU trails

HOUGHTON — Northern Michigan University graduate Scott Jackson has been hired as the Trail and Outdoor Adventure Program manager at Michigan Tech University.

Jackson, originally from Blaine, Minnesota, has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from NMU along with an associate’s in ski area management from Gogebic Community College in Ironwood.

Jackson started at MTU on Monday and is responsible for maintaining MTU trails and coordinating large-scale events for the Tech’s Outdoor Adventure Program.

He is also a former manager at the Porcupine Mountains Ski Area, former instructor at Gogebic CC, has five years of mountain management experience and 12 years of outside operations experience.
