Superior Dome hosts Sweden-US wrestling on Wednesday evening

MARQUETTE — The Greco-Roman wrestling program at the Northern Michigan University Olympic Training Site is holding its fourth annual Superior International Wrestling Camp this week ending Saturday.

The camp includes about 80 athletes from across the U.S., including wrestlers from the NMU-OTS team. The camp’s roster will also include a Swedish delegation of 13 participants, as well as one athlete from Canada and one from Finland.

The training camp will consist of four days of practice and two days of competition, giving every wrestler an opportunity to wrestle multiple matches.

There will also be a competition between Team Skane, comprising the Swedish delegation, versus a U.S. team consisting of American camp participants and NMU-OTS athletes.

The Sweden vs. U.S. wresting event takes place at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Superior Dome. The event is free.
