More top wrestlers named at Ray Mariucci Wrestling Tournament

KINGSFORD — Additional information became available from Saturday’s Ray Mariucci Wrestling Tournament in Kingsford.

In addition to Marquette and Westwood tying for second place with 114 points apiece, Munising finished fifth in the 11-team field with 66 points, Negaunee was eighth with 45, Gwinn ninth with 43 and Ishpeming 11th with 32.

The area was well represented in third and fourth places.

From Westwood, Brandon Perry was third at 125, Cedric Nora third at 130 and Rocco Carlson third at 145.

For Marquette, Collin Fure was third at 119, Harley Huddle third at 135, Nate Ball third at 152, Cooper Holferty third at 171, Ben Sternchuss fourth at 112 and Richard Weycker fourth at 140.

Coming out of Munising, Devin Moore was fourth at 119.

From Negaunee, Sam Collins was third at 189.

For Gwinn, Elania Winkler was third at 112, Ryan Johnson third at 285 and Kevin Roberts fourth at 189.

And from Ishpeming, Darin Giuchin was third at 140, Ethan Laitinen third at 215, Christian Carello fourth at 103 and Justin Karnack fourth at 160.

Iron Mountain’s Aaron Bolo was named Outstanding Wrestler.
