Nero-Bob update — goal met

August 28, 2014
Mining Journal

The community stepped up in a huge way and Nero-Bob, shown above, is in Appleton, Wisconsin, today, now having a chance to recover. The 4-year-old husky mix, who was badly injured while he was lost recently, is visiting a specialist today with the hopes of having life-saving surgery. The campaign to raise funds for the dog's care was at more than $7,400 as of 8:30 a.m. today, with most of the money being pledged Wednesday. Amanda Bertucci of Ishpeming, Nero-Bob's owner, said this morning she is profoundly grateful to everyone who helped. More on Nero-Bob and Amanda will be featured in The Mining Journal Friday.
