NASHVILLE, NC. - Judith Anne Hill Cooper, 74, passed away Saturday August 9, 2014. She was born March 12, 1940 in Negaunee, Michigan to Leo and Mildred Marcotte.
Judith was preceded in death by parents, spouse, Marvin J. Hill of 38 years, two sons, Jay L. Hill and Ron A. Hill.
She leaves behind, her husband, William A. Cooper, Sr., whom she married on September 30, 1995, one daughter, Stephanie Hill Davis, two sons; Larry Hill and Troy Hill, 13 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, a sister, Jean (Robert) Roeglin of Wisconsin, one niece and two nephews, several aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws.
Judith resided in California, Illinois and Michigan before moving to North Carolina in 1994. One of her great achievements was accomplished in 1975 when through the help of night classes; she was able to receive her High School Diploma at the same time as her oldest son Jay received his.
Through the years she worked as a general laborer at General Controls in California, nurse's aide in Michigan at Bell Memorial Hospital and was introduced to retail, working as a clerk for Symons Tru Value. Also in Michigan, she joined K-Mart in 1986 and remained with the company until retirement in 1999, Judith returned in 2002 until 2014. She enjoyed knitting- crocheting and spending time at camp. She loved her children and spending time with her grandchildren. They were the special people in her life from which memories are made.
A private family service will be held on Tuesday August 12, 2014.
