CURTIS - The Erickson Center for the Arts is hosting its 15th annual Art on the Lake Art and Music Festival.

The festival will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 30 on the center's lawn, overlooking South Manistique Lake. This year the ECA plans to host an estimated 3,000 to 4,000 people.

The event will include musical entertainment from The Hozz (10:30 a.m.-1 p.m.) and The Jill Jack Band (2-5 p.m.), along with food, beverages, a silent auction and a children's art tent.

Children will have the opportunity to decorate kites in the art tent from 10 a.m.3 p.m. During this time, all children will be invited to join in the Children's Parade, which meets at the tent at 1:30 p.m.

Several food vendors will compliment the festival with food and beverage favorites throughout the day, including a variety of beer and wine.

This year's silent auction project will feature "Curtis on Canvas," showcasing the creative talents of many area residents.
