TRENARY, MI. - Ronald Blaine Grimm, age 76, of Trenary, entered eternal life Wednesday evening, August 6, 2014, at his home, in the loving, comforting care of his family and Lake Superior Hospice.
Ron was born January 2, 1938 in Irondale, Ohio, a son of Frederick and Jane (Puckett) Grimm, and had been a Michigan resident since 1973. Ron was, by trade, an auto mechanic, and throughout the years was employed with and managed various retail store auto departments. He also held other jobs throughout the years.
He had a youthful outlook, a good sense of humor, and was a Mr. Fix-It when it came to anything mechanical. If he couldn't fix it, it would be re-purposed into something else. As a consequence, he saved all kinds of things! He enjoyed NASCAR, having pets, the outdoors, deer hunting, doing things for his family, and being the Labor to Diane's Mangement. He knew who she meant when she said "we", but never complained or refused. He was a proud veteran, having served in the US Army.

(Oberstar) Grimm, whom he married April 7, 1977; his sons, Edward and James of Ohio, Anthony of South Carolina, Daniel of Trenary, and Robert of Marquette; a sister, Betty Michael of Marquette; brother, John (Debbie) Binius of Escanaba; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents; two step-fathers; brothers, Russel, Terry, and Donald "Butch" Grimm; and infant sister, Sherry.
The family extends a huge thank you to good friends, Roseann and John Iho, who visited weekly; to all the Lake Superior Hospice staff, especially nurses, Glenda Christian and Mike Dorvinen; social worker, Cara Zanetti; and chaplain, Chuck Tooman, who all cared for Ron and his family with professionalism and kindness; and to Dr. Chelsea Ray and P.A. Mick Kreis who cared for Ron with compassion and understanding. Ron looked forward to their visits.
No public services will be held.
The Fassbender Funeral Home is serving the family.
