To the Journal editor:
This week I received a letter from Bell Hospital that my physician will no longer be providing services at their medical facility.
In the last year, no fewer than half a dozen well-liked and respected doctors with productive, long-standing practices have elected to leave Bell.
Physician recruitment was touted as a primary initiative when Lifepoint acquired both Bell and Marquette General Hospital.
It appears as though the new recruits are necessary to fill the vacancies created by trusted physicians leaving en masse.
