Water line break disrupts traffic

July 16, 2014
Mining Journal

Workers from Ishpeming contractor A. Lindberg & Sons work to repair a leak in a water service line at the corner of Division and Pine streets in Ishpeming Tuesday that closed a portion of Division Street to traffic. Department of Public Works Superintendent Jon Kangas said the leak, surfacing sometime Monday, originated at a pipe joint. Such leaks are increasingly common with the city's brittle, old water line joints, he said. (Journal photo by Zach Jay)
