No serious injuries in downtown crash

June 19, 2014
Mining Journal

An accident took place at 7:30 this morning at the intersection of McClellan Avenue and West Washington Street, according to the Marquette Police Department. A northbound vehicle was traveling through a green light when struck by a westbound vehicle in the intersection. It was initially reported as a personal injury accident, however no serious injuries were sustained. There was moderate damage to both vehicles. The westbound driver was shown at fault for running a red light. The westbound driver's vehicle's airbags were deployed; the driver complained of a headache and indicated he would seek treatment at Marquette General Hospital. The northbound driver was not injured.
