CURTIS, MI. - Edward F. Kassuba, 77, of Curtis, while surrounded by his family, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, May 12, 2014 at Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids.
Ed was born on November 28, 1936 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to Edward & Marie (Franks) Kassuba. He graduated from Ortonville High School in the class of 1955 and was employed by A/C Spark Plug for over 20 years retiring in 1979.
While employed he attended GMI. Ed and Fay moved to the Curtis area over 17 years ago and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and riding 4 wheelers. Ed is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Ronald in 1998.
Survivors include his wife, the former M. Fay Freeman, whom he married on March 9, 1957 in Gingeville. Also surviving are sons and daughters-in-law Mark (Kathy) of Tustin and Scott (Lisa) of Cadillac; a brother, Joseph (Jane) Kassuba; and sister's Connie (Kit) Knibbe and Denise (Joe) Peters; 8 grandchildren 3 great grandsons and several nieces and nephews along with his sister-in-law Mary Kassuba.
Friends may gather at the McMillan United Methodist Church in McMillan on Saturday, from 10:00 am until the time of services. A Memorial Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11:00 at the church with Pastor Ian McDonald officiating.
If memorial contributions are considered, the family suggests they be made to the McMillan United Methodist Church.
