MARQUETTE - Mother Nature continues to wreak havoc on Superiorland prep sports this spring, particularly in boys tennis.
Thursday's tennis contest between Westwood and host Marquette saw one match completed before snow forced the cancelation of the rest of the competition.
"It just got too slippery, so we pulled the pin," said MSHS head coach Charlie Drury, who added he's unsure if the match will be rescheduled. "We chalked it up as a practice."
Another local tennis match, Norway at Ishpeming, was postponed earlier Thursday.
A softball doubleheader between Ishpeming and Westwood at National Mine on Thursday was called off due to snow. Westwood athletic director Jon Beckman said the twinbill has been rescheduled for noon Saturday in National Mine.
