MARQUETTE - For the second-consecutive season, the Northern Michigan University hockey team will travel to the farthest ends of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association, but will only have to make one trip to and from Alaska in 2014-14 instead of the two made three months apart in 2013-14.

Northern plays on Jan. 16-17 at Alabama Huntsville in conference play, while hosting the Chargers at the Berry Events Center in nonconference play Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 as part of an agreement made prior to last season and prior to UAH being admitted to the WCHA.
