MARESA AmeriCorps members recognized for local volunteer efforts

The Marquette-Alger Regional Educational Service Agency AmeriCorps members are acknowledged by Marquette Mayor Robert Niemi for their dedication to educational service. MARESA AmeriCorps members commit to a year of service in the local school districts, providing literacy support to struggling readers. Niemi proclaimed April 1 as National Service Recognition Day, and presented the MARESA AmeriCorps members with certificates of appreciation for their volunteer efforts.
