Rotary Club backs U.P. Honor Flight

From left, World War II veterans Bob Moore and Jerry LaJoice and Upper Peninsula Honor Flight volunteers Sue Beranek and Paula Waeghe receive a donation from Rotary Club of Marquette President Deb Smith. The club donated another $500 to the U.P. Honor Flight to bring the total contributed by the Club to $3,300 over the last 3 years. The Honor Flight has flown 5 flights with nearly 400 World War II Veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit the WW II Memorial and other monuments. The next flight on May 14 is scheduled to include 64 Korean War veterans with 16 WW II vets.
