To the Journal editor:
As a Room at the Inn coordinator, I have a big job. Each week that our church hosts RATI guests we need to find volunteers to cover 70, four hour shifts, plus someone to prepare and serve 14 meals. Our church does this at least 3 times every season.
I just want to say thank you to all those who have volunteered for me this season. Also, thank you to all those who have provided the meals.
Along with many individuals and families, we also received donations from Cram's General Store, the Holiday Inn and the Peter White Public Library's staff. Several churches, although they may not be able to host RATI, provided meals for us as well.
Without all the volunteers and those willing to donate food and their time, my job would be a lot harder. As we finish up our last week for this season, I am looking back to reflect on how blessed we are to have so many who are willing to step up and help out our little church.
I am already looking forward to next year serving Marquette' s homeless and working with all the great people in this community who are making a difference in our world.
Thank you and God Bless! For more information on how you can help out, go to www.roomattheinn.org
