McDonald’s Pee Wees perfect in Shawano

MARQUETTE - The Marquette McDonald's Pee Wee hockey team won all three of its games to capture the title at a tournament held in Shawano, Wis., from Feb. 7-9.

In an opening game, 6-0 victory over DePere, Wis., Kobie Guidebeck and Ryan Baldwin each scored two goals, while teammates Julian Greason and Colin Bradley added one apiece. Guidebeck also had a three-assist playmaker, while other assists were contributed by Baldwin, Michael Johnson, Ethan Hayes and Lauren Godfrey. Goalie Preston Maki stopped 12 shots to get credit for a shutout.

In an 8-2 victory over Southwest Madison, Wis., Guidebeck and Bradley each had three-goal hat tricks, while Baldwin and Hayes notched one goal apiece. Get an assist were Guidebeck, Godfrey, Baldwin and Abbie Tollefson.

In a 5-1 championship game win over Shaw Milwaukee, Guidebeck had another hat trick, while Greason and Bradley added one goal each. Bradley and Guidebeck also had assists.
