MARQUETTE - They both played just one game apiece last week, which they won.

In doing so, the Marquette Senior High School boys and girls basketball teams not only are still undefeated this season, but continue to lead the Upper Peninsula Class ABC poll this week.

Coach Brad Nelson's Redmen (10-0) again picked up all five No. 1 votes cast by select members of the U. P. Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association for 25 points and the poll lead.

MSHS also cracked the statewide Michigan Associated Press Class A poll at No. 10 with 21 points, just edging out Grand Ledge.

Negaunee (11-1), whose lone loss was to MSHS on Dec. 19 and who will travel to Marquette for a rematch scheduled for Feb. 13, is again ranked second in the UPSSA poll with 20 points. Coach Mike O'Donnell's Miners are also ranked No. 5 in the AP Class C poll.

Ishpeming (8-2) moved up a notch to fourth place. Coach Jeff Olsen's Hematites collected eight points.
