MARQUETTE - A number of prominent alumni are set to take part in a Marquette Electricians Midget Major AAA exhibition hockey game tonight that will also feature the team's current lineup.

Each team in the 7 p.m. game at Lakeview Arena will feature both alumni and current players as Electricians officials hope to make this an annual event.

"It's really a simple idea that we utilize the alumni here in town," team board chairman Brad Sullivan said.

Alumni expected to participate include former Northern Michigan University players Jim Jackson, Tom Stone, Ryan Riipi and Dan Ragusett; ex-Michigan Tech player Brad Sullivan; former Finlandia University players Ryan Sullivan and Joe Beaudry; along with Josh Bal, Nick Benson, Scott Bonsall, Jordan Frazier, Jon Hill, Brian Kulbieda, Brad Limback, TJ Malport, Matt Matluewicz, Mike McKee, Mark Ranta and Karl Shunk.

The team has included four players who went on to play in the National Hockey League, more than 40 in professional minor leagues, at least 115 who played in college, more than 170 in Junior programs, and two each on Team USA and the U.S. National Team Developmental Program.

The past coaching staff has included one that went on to the NHL and U.S. Olympic team, more than 10 in college and at least five in Junior ranks.
