The Mining Journal

MARQUETTE - An Escanaba man was arrested Thursday for allegedly making charges on his employer's business credit cards without permission.

The 28-year-old man was being held in the Marquette County Jail on a bond of 10 percent of $10,000. He is charged with stealing or retaining a financial transaction device without consent.

The man's employer reported financial losses his business had incurred to the Marquette City Police Department. After an investigation, police said it was determined numerous purchases had allegedly been made on the company's credit card accounts without store authorization.

The man was arrested after a traffic stop in Delta County.
