Superior Central 64

HARRIS - Bark River-Harris kicked it into high gear in the second quarter for a 72-64 Central Upper Peninsula Conference boys basketball victory over Superior Central on Thursday night.

A slow start by the Broncos suddenly turned red-hot as BR-H exploded for 32 points in the second quarter.

Four Broncos scored in double figures, led by Jordan Sodergren's 13 points. Teeple had 12, Welch 11 and Kyle Kleiman 10. Welch added six assists and four steals while Kleiman racked up seven steals, six rebounds, three assists and a block.

Jake Aho scored a game-high 16 points for Superior Central. Greg Seppanen had 15 points and Cody Maki posted 10 for SC.

"They went in and they had a great attitude," SC coach Herb Jenkins said. "The great thing about Jake Aho is he's a hard worker. I'd like him to shoot a little more, but they're all unselfish kids. Jake just started playing basketball as a freshman and he's come so far in a little over two years. It's amazing."
