NMU skiing: Seniors lead Wildcats at U.S. Cross Country Championships in Utah

MIDWAY, Utah - Northern Michigan University seniors Rosie Frankowski and George Cartwright led the Wildcats in Sunday's freestyle races at the U.S. Cross Country Skiing Championships at Soldier Hollow Resort in Midway, Utah.

Cartwright finished 23rd overall with a time of 7 minutes, 43 seconds. Junior Kyle Bratrud (66th) and freshman Adam Martin (90th) also finished in the top 100 for the NMU men.

Frankowski took 29th in 17:24. Junior Felicia Gesior placed in 42nd while sophomores Mary Kate Cirelli took 60th.

The U.S. Cross Country Skiing Championships resume Wednesday for NMU.
