MARQUETTE - A pair of Grosse Pointe North goals in the final 3:40 of the game left the Marquette Senior High School hockey team with a 2-1 loss Saturday at Lakeview Arena.

Vince Romanelli scored at the 13:20 mark of the final period to forge a 1-1 tie for the Norseman. Teammate Ryan Babcock then notched a power-play marker just 1:29 later for the win.

Cole Rieboldt had given MSHS (2-7-2) a 1-0 lead in the second period with a goal at 16:58.

Johnny Beckman made 11 saves in net for the Redmen; Ben Borland made 23 stops for GPN.

"We played well, but with the way our luck has been going, we're just finding ways to lose," MSHS coach Doug Garrow said. "The kids are frustrated.

"We just have to find some ways to score goals."
