To the Journal editor:
I just want to thank Zach Jay for his beautifully written story about the life and death of Sanaz Nezami. Little things like nationality and language did not prevent the dedicated nursing staff from connecting on a human level, locating and bringing her family to her virtual bedside, and then insuring that her amazing life will live on in others. And now we have a Muslim section of our cemetery too. How wonderful. Makes me hopeful that Marquette can be a place where everyone, even those from nations we have branded as enemies, will be welcome and safe. Kudos to everyone involved at the hospital and to Zach Jay for sharing this story with the rest of us.
