Leona C. Koepp Antcliff

MARQUETTE, MI. - Leona C. Koepp Antcliff, 96, of Marquette, passed away Sunday morning, December 22, 2013 at the Norlite Nursing Center where she had resided for the last five years.

Leona was born on August 29, 1917 in the Cherry Creek area, a daughter of the late Emil and Anna (Rosin) Koepp. She lived in this area most of her life.

In 1939, Leona married Orville Antcliff and together they had three children. During their years together, they were able to travel extensively. Her hobbies included various needlework, puzzles and cards. Her grandchildren will remember her always making homemade French fries for them. She was also known for her great Sunday roast dinners and apple pies.

Leona is survived by her daughter, Hazel (Jim) Tallio of Marquette; a brother, Carl Koepp of Marquette; 5 grandchildren, Cheryl (Steve) Hulbert, Allison (Jamie) Marlowe, Christina (Rob) Fecher, Bryce (Amy) Smith and Andy (Tina) Smith; 13 great grandchildren, Josh, Melissa and Ashley Hulbert, Kelsie and Lauren Marlowe, Cole, Audrey, Kayla, Josh, Angeline, and Helen Smith, Emma and Eli Fecher; also surviving are special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville in 1985; a son, Robert Antcliff and daughter, Janet Smith; sisters, Tina, Emma, Esther and Dorothy; also brothers, Rueben, Albert and Elder.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 27 at 11 a.m. in Redeemer Lutheran Church with the Rev. Steve Hulke officiating.

The family will greet relatives and friends beginning at 10 a.m. until the time of the service. A luncheon will take place in the church hall immediately following the service.

Leona's family would like to express special thanks to the conscientious and loving caregivers from Norlite for their selfless and dedicated care of Leona over the past five years.
