Room at the Inn founder earns award

The founders of the Room at the Inn program gathered recently to honor Helen McCormick with the first Homeless Volunteer Award, named after McCormick. Shown are, from left are the Rev. Chris Kostalansky his wife Doris Kostalansky, McCormick, Robin Roy and Larry Ziomkowski. The award, which honors people who have put forth extraordinary effort to help the homeless, was presented to McCormick at an event about homelessness in the Upper Peninsula hosted by the Alger-Marquette County Continuum of Care.
