Negaune woman hurt in crash

MARQUETTE - A Negaunee woman was treated and released from Marquette General Hospital after she suffered shoulder and back injuries in a a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning in Marquette Township.

Marquette County Sheriff's deputies said the crash occurred at about 11:50 a.m. along U.S. 41, in front of the Menards Store.

Police said Terri Lynn Young, 52, was a passenger in a 2002 Subaru, being driven east along U.S. 41 by Judy Ann Young-Campbell, 69, of Ishpeming. A 2003 Econo E-250 van driven by Donna Lynne Nikunen, 48, of Munising turned left in front of the Subaru, causing the two vehicles to crash.

Nikunen was ticketed by police for failure to yield.

Michigan State Police troopers, Marquette General EMS and the Marquette Township Fire Department assisted at the scene.
