Prep boys basketball: Munising routs Newberry 72-27

MUNISING - The Munising boys basketball team jumped out to a commanding 29-8 lead after one quarter, then slowed its pace while continuing to extend its lead en route to a 72-27 win over Newberry on Tuesday.

"I was really happy with the way our kids came out, we played with great energy," Munising coach Dan Waterman said. "We've got things rolling, but there's still work to do."

Junior Alex Hill led the Mustangs with 19 points, followed by junior Colin Immel with 11 and junior Ben Stasewich with 10.
