NEGAUNEE, MI. - Mark A. Hosking, 51, formerly of Pine St., Negaunee, died at 11:25 am on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 surrounded by his loving family at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility where he had resided for the past 11 years. Mark was born April 27, 1962 in Ishpeming to Thomas and Beatrice (Kevern) Hosking and graduated from Negaunee High School, Class of 1981. He was employed at U.P. Tire and enjoyed working on cars until a diving accident left him disabled in 1987.
Mark was a member of Mitchell United Methodist Church, Negaunee. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, enjoyed watching Nascar and Dale Earnhardt, Jr., was a fan of college football, especially the Michigan Wolverines, and liked playing cribbage.
Surviving are his son, Jeremy Hosking of Palmer; 2 sisters: Cheryl (Tony) McLoud of Knoxville, TN and Debbie (Doug) Francis of Negaunee; a brother, Barry (Linda) Hosking of Clintonville, WI; nephews and nieces: Brittney and Taylor McLoud, Tamara (Chris Sommer) Francis, Annie (Andy) Asikainen, Amy (Tony) Inderrieden and Brittany (Ryan Anderson) Hosking; great nephews and nieces: Noah, Cassie, Allie, Evan, Anthony and Peyton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 4:30 pm on Monday, December 9th at Mitchell United Methodist Church with Rev. Douglas Mater officiating. Burial will be in the Negaunee Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends from 3:00 pm until the time of services at 4:30 pm at the church on Monday.
Mark's family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Grossman and also the staff at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility for their compassionate care over the past years.
