MARQUETTE - Jim LaJoie, author of "Hi Mom, It's Me," a non-fiction book describing his journey watching his mom battle Alzheimer's disease, will be selling and signing copies of the new book at the Christmas Craft Show from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Superior Dome in Marquette.
"Hi Mom, It's Me," tells the story of how LaJoie dealt with his mom's early dementia to Alzheimer's disease. A good portion of the book is filled with chapters relating the many life lessons he learned in four decades he had with his mother. The book is $10, but those purchasing three books will receive a special price of $25.
A portion of the net proceeds will be gifted back to the Alzheimer's Association to be used for advocacy and care.
