MARQUETTE, MI. Mark Richard Larson, age 38, of Marquette, entered eternal life Thursday morning, November 28, 2013.

Mark was born on April 22, 1975, in Marquette, the son of Richard C. and Jean A. (Giannunzio) Larson, and was raised in Marquette. During his youth, Mark played baseball and later was active in the wrestling program while attending Marquette Senior High School. He had several employments throughout the years, beginning as a custodian at the Westwood Mall, then with Goodwill, and later doing deliveries for Northland Appliance. Additionally, he also had a number of side jobs involving painting and carpentry. Mark possessed an outgoing, caring, and kind personality, was generous with his time and talent, and was always trying to put others first. Some of his greatest joys were doing for others, and his father and uncles can attest to his determination to help make life easier by assisting them in any way possible. He was a wonderful son and very supportive when it came to pitching in when needed. He was the big-hearted guy who always tried to find the best in people.

In addition to his family, Mark was passionate about the outdoors and all that nature had to offer. He enjoyed fishing, particularly ice fishing, and hunted during bow, rifle, and black powder seasons, and loved being at the family camp in McFarland with family and friends. Another of Mark's favorite pastimes was cheering on the Green Bay Packers. He also enjoyed spending many hours with his best friend and beloved German shepherd, Bailey, who returned all the love and devotion Mark showered her with.
