MARQUETTE - Led by freshman Paula Hafner, two members of the Northern Michigan University women's soccer team have received postseason GLIAC honors.
Hafner was named GLIAC Freshman of the Year while senior teammate KC McCary made the honorable mention list.
Hafner, who was also named to the All-GLIAC first team, led the Wildcats offensively this season, recording eight goals and seven assists for 23 points. She was also among the GLIAC league leaders ranked in the top six in each of those categories.

Hafner started all 18 games for the Wildcats and kicked off her scoring with two goals in a 3-0 win over Lake Erie College on Sept. 22. She posted a team-high 52 shots with 29 of them on goal for a .558 shots-on-goal percentage and assisted on half of the 14 goals not scored herself.
McCary also started all 18 games and had a game-winning goal for two points on the season. The midfielder took 11 shots with five on goal for a .455 shots-on-goal percentage to close out her senior year.
