MARQUETTE - A "Laughing Whitefish" book discussion will be from 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Marquette Regional History Center, Marquette.
This is a unique opportunity to explore the historical backdrop for this fictional novel written by John Voelker.
Panel members include Matthew Fletcher, a professor at Michigan State University's College of Law and director of MSU Indigenous Law Center; Frank Parker, a professor at Boston College and Voelker biographer; Richard VanderVeen, the president of the John D. Voelker Foundation; Dr. Steve Peters of the Northern Michigan University Archives; and Dianne Patrick of Snowbound Books as moderator.
Copies, signed by Matthew Fletcher, will be available at the MRHC Gift Shop.
