MARQUETTE - During the month of October, the Michigan's Cliffs Women's Connect group held a donation drive for the Women's Center in Marquette.
Three cars full of donations were delivered Friday by Cliffs District Manager-Public Affairs Jennifer Huetter and several volunteers.
This is the first community fundraiser for the newly formed Cliff's Women's Connect. The group was formed to help women employed by Cliffs get the support and inspiration to help them achieve their full potential.

"It allows us the opportunity to work with our female workforce and provide motivation and empowerment through training, coaching and participation," Huetter said. "This event was a way for us to give back to our community."
The donations will be available at the Pak Ratz Resale shop. Pak Ratz provides clothing and other items to residents of Harbor House and families who utilize the Women's Center.
"It is terribly important for us to have community support and to have support from Cliffs which is a major employer in the area is just amazing," Women's Center Board Member Sally May said. "They brought so many wonderful things that employees donated throughout the month so we are just delighted."
