To the Journal editor:
I just became aware of a great program for kids who need help and don't know where to turn. It is called OK2SAY, also known as SB 374. OK2SAY passed in the Senate with a vote of 38-0.
The legislation was sent to House Appropriations in June and it appears stalled in that committee.
Your help is needed to let your state representative know that you are in favor of this program. I'm asking you to contact your representative and encourage them to ask the bill to be taken up in committee and when it comes to the House floor to vote yes
This program is designed to help all of the youths in the state of Michigan. We must do our part to let our elected officials know what we want and where we stand. Feel free to contact your senator and thank them for voting yes on such an important piece of legislation!
You can search OK2SAY on the Internet for more information. Please help move this to the governor's desk for signature.
