MARQUETTE - Athletic teams from Northern Michigan University wlll participate in a charitable talent show Sunday evening to benefit a 6-year-old girl named Madison from Hancock through the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Open to the public, the event starts at 7 p.m. at NMU's Vandament Arena and is expected to run from 60 to 90 minutes. Admission is $1 and donations are also encouraged. The show is sponsored by NMU's Student Athletic Advisory Committee.

Eleven of the Wildcats' 12 athletic teams will share a talent and compete for prizes, with judging by NMU coaches and faculty. Soccer will not be represented because of a scheduling conflict.

Student-athletes will also sell Make-A-Wish stars at the show and T-shirts at major athletic events and around campus. NMU and Michigan Tech athletes have partnered to hold events at their own campuses to help raise funds so the 6-year-old can go on her dream trip to Disney World.
