MARQUETTE - A mobile home in the Birch Grove Trailer Court in Marquette received extensive heat and smoke damage from a fire Saturday evening.
According to the Marquette City Fire Department, firefighters were called to the trailer court at 5:13 p.m. Upon arrival, the firefighters found heavy smoke and flames in the south end of the trailer.
Fire department officials said a suppression crew made entry into the structure, applying water with foam and had the blaze extinguished by 5:31 p.m.
All occupants were out of the home and accounted for upon arrival, according to fire officials. One occupant was treated for injuries from the fire by fire department EMT until patient care could be taken over by Marquette General Unit 141.
The fire started in the south end of the trailer and the cause remains under investigation.
Assisting at the scene were MGH Unit 141, Marquette City Police Department, Semco Energy and the Marquette Board of Light and Power.
