ISHPEMING TOWNSHIP, MI. - Marjorie Anna Scheiding, age 84, of 1110 County Road GGG, Ishpeming Township, entered eternal life Saturday morning, October 26, 2013, at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility, Ishpeming, with her loving family and the caring staff at her side.

Marjorie was born February 23, 1929 in Germfask, daughter of Clarence E. and Lela Jennie (Stevenson) Thomas, and was raised in Germfask and attended school there. In 1948, she married John W. Scheiding in Munising and the couple made their first home in Newberry before moving to Marquette in 1952. Marjorie loved being a homemaker, caring for her family and raising her children. After their six children had grown, Marjorie was employed in the housekeeping department at Marquette General Hospital for ten years. As her family grew with the addition of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she delighted in the love and attention that she shared with them. Her other interests centered on her pleasure in writing poetry having several published, a fondness for karaoke, enjoyment of county western music, dancing, and was known to walk for miles.

She loved clothes and was a talented seamstress who kept up with the latest fashions right until the time she lost her quality of life due to Parkinson and Alzheimer's Disease.
