October 20, 2013
The Mining Journal

Gwinn High School athletes and the GHS All Sports Booster Club kicked off the fall seasons with Patriots Week. During the week, veterans received free admission to all games and free popcorn. In addition, the booster club sold camoflage T-shirts, which the volleyball team wore as warm-ups for the month and the cheerleaders wore as their uniforms for the week. They raised $350 that was donated to the Warrior Relief Fund of Marquette County. Shown at the check presentation are, from left, assistant coach Maria Slater, Dylan Hart, coach Stephanie Bahrman, Liz Belt of the Warrior Relief Fund, booster club President Jackie Hart, Kelly Buchanan of the Warrior Relief Fund, and the volleyball team's Kaylee Arnsparger, Shelby Talsma, Katie Aho, Bella Wedig and manager Tristan Slater.
