October 14, 2013
The Mining Journal

GERMFASK - The Second Saturday Writers' Group and the Erickson Center for the Arts are hosting an evening of "Fish Tales" at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, by the fireplace at the Erickson Center for the Arts, Germfask.

Local writers and storytellers will share some tales and then Petoskey storyteller, Ron Fowler will tell his whopper, "Banjo Fishin."

Ron is the Youth Services supervisor at the Petoskey District Library, developing early literacy skills in toddlers and preschoolers and sharing the delights of reading, literature and the learning tools available at the library with youth. Outside of that role, he has been telling stories and singing songs to kids and families from Marquette to Jackson and Alpena to Traverse City for over 30 years.

Refreshments will be served and donations will be taken at the door. For more information, call 586-9974.
