MARQUETTE - After four straight matches on the road, the Northern Michigan University women's volleyball tam will host a pair of GLIAC foes this weekend at Vandament Arena.

The Wildcats of head coach Dominic Yoder will entertain Malone at 7 p.m. tonight and Walsh at 4 p.m. on Saturday.

NMU enters the weekend with a 12-5 overall record and a 6-1 GLIAC mark.

Senior Lina Lopes leads Northern with 217 kills. Senior Kalli Herron has 187, while senior Sarah Hamilton has recorded 163. Senior Kellisha Harley sets up the offense with 660 assists.

On the defensive side of the ball, sophomore Alex Berger tops the Wildcats with 210 digs. Lopes is not far behind with 193.

Malone is 7-8 overall and 2-5 in the GLIAC after losing its last five matches. Walsh, which was swept last weekend, is 4-10 overall and 1-6 in the GLIAC.

The 'Cats are coming off a pair of GLIAC road wins a week ago - 3-1 over Wayne State and 3-0 over Findlay - but dropped a nonconference match at No. 2 Minnesota Duluth on Tuesday in three sets.
