SUN CITY, AZ. - Janice Mary (Moyle) Davis, 76, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2013 at her home in Sun City.
Janice was born on March 15, 1937 to Alden and Genevieve Moyle of Ishpeming. She graduated from Ishpeming High School in the class of 1955, and graduated from the Augustana School of Nursing in Chicago, Illinois in 1958. She married Charles Sanders in 1958, and after living for several years in Huntsville, Alabama, Janice and her family moved back to Ishpeming, where she worked as a nurse and later served as Manager of the Ishpeming Chamber of Commerce. She was involved in many community activities, one of her favorites was the Miss Ishpeming Pageant.
In 1988, Janice married Forest Davis and the two lived in Stephenson, Michigan before heading west and eventually settling in Sun City, Arizona. While living there, Janice was active in the Child Evangelism Fellowship.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents Alden and Genevieve Moyle and by two children Keith Sanders and Kelly Sanders.
She is survived by her husband, Forest Davis, brothers John Moyle (Amy) of Mount Airy, North Carolina and Thomas Moyle (Sara) of Marquette, a son Timothy Sanders of Charlotte, North Carolina, grandson CJ and granddaughter Kelly both also of Charlotte, North Carolina, step-daughters Kami (John Dickerson) of Nebraska and Tracy of Arizona a step-son Jed Davis of Marquette, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Sun City, Arizona, at 11 AM on Thursday, October 10, 2013. That service will be followed by a reception at the church. Janice will be buried on October 16th, in the North Side Veteran's Cemetery in Phoenix.
