Alger Delta supports Powell School

Tom Harrell, left, Alger Delta Cooperative Electric Association's CEO, presents a check to Powell Township School Superintendent Dan Barry for the completion of a lighting upgrade at the Big Bay school. Alger Delta and WPPI Energy provided technical assistance and $15,307 in incentives toward the project. In addition, Alger Delta provided $3,521 through the utility's Energy Optimization program. The school expects to reduce electricity costs by more than $2,300 per year with the efficient lighting system installed throughout the building. The new lighting equipment was installed by Clancey Electric of Negaunee.
