Trestle Park Garden cleanup

October 9, 2013
The Mining Journal

MARQUETTE - Northern Michigan University First Year Experience, taught by Dave Kronk, will be teaming up with the Marquette County Conservation District to help clean up Trestle Park Native Plants Garden starting at 10 a.m. to noon Thursday.

It is a nationally named Monarch Waystation put in place to preserve the natural beauty of the bike path and it also gives monarch butterflies a place to eat and lay their larva. It is located off of Fourth Street behind Little Caesar's Pizza directly off of the bike path. Gardening supplies will be provided, but if you would like you can bring your own.

Volunteers are needed to help rake, weed, clean up garbage, and get the garden ready for the winter ahead. For more information, call Marquette County Conservation District at 226-2461 ext. 102.
