FINDLAY, Ohio - The Northern Michigan University women's soccer team dropped its first GLIAC game of 2013, losing 3-2 to Findlay to fall to 2-1-1 in the league and 2-6-1 overall.

Freshman Paula Hafner scored her fourth goal of the season with an assist from junior Taylor Smith to give NMU a 1-0 lead. Smith then scored in the second half to give Northern a 2-1 lead.

Findlay tied the game at 1-1 before halftime and pulled even again a minute after Smith's goal.

The Oilers notched the game winner with less than 10 minutes to play.

NMU freshman goalkeeper Alexandra Simmons finished with three saves.

The Wildcats return home this weekend to host Northwood on Friday and Saginaw Valley State on Sunday.
