Daryl Davis, 72, came in fifth in the K1 Men's Veteran race for men ages 60 and over in 4:18.0. He also earned gold as the top entrant over age 70.

In marathon races that consisted of a four-mile loop of the Croton Dam Pond, a portage around the dam and a 12 1/4-mile segment of the nearby Muskegon River, Ginny Davis won the national championship in the Touring Kayak for the Veteran 1 category, while Daryl Davis was second in the Grand Veteran 1 Touring Kayak division.
