Local walkers part of fundraiser

The Wapienik sisters, JoDee Larsh and Tassi Hodgins of Marquette and Jonnie True of Negaunee, and True's daughter Rhonda Willilams of Negaunee participated in the annual Parkinson's Unity Walk in Central Park in New York City recently. True, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2002, was the team captain for the group, "True Believers." They received more than $2,200 in donations and the event has raised more than $1.62 million for research in finding a cure for Parkinson's disease.
