MARQUETTE - The UPAEYC 2013 Early Childhood Learning Fair is set for Oct. 12, 2013 at MARESA in Marquette. The UPAEYC is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting high early childhood standards.
From 9 to noon, Upper Peninsula early childhood providers will be immersed in an interactive experience that taps into the conversations that matter to those who work with young children as teachers and care-givers.
The morning Harvest Cafe will focus on themes of importance to early childhood excellence that will be discussed in three rounds of small group discussion culminating in a harvest of important ideas.
A Gallery of Ideas displayed throughout the morning will feature a wide range of developmentally-appropriate tips, activities, and techniques exhibited by selected submissions shared by U.P. early childhood providers.
Participants can tour local early learning settings from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. A $5 fee will be taken at the door, and a pre-event dinner and silent auction will be held at 5:30 p.m Oct. 11, at the Landmark Inn, Marquette.
