Sherrye Woodworth, a member of the Onagomingkway Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, was awarded second place nationally in the 2013 American Heritage Contest for her entry in the porcelain doll category. Submitted under the theme "Invest in the Future: Creating Tomorrow's Family Heirlooms," Woodworth's doll was a handcrafted antique reproduction doll styled to resemble her mother. The doll was clothed in an antique dress crafted by her great grandmother and an antique dress coat worn by her mother when she was a child. An essay accompanied the contest entry. The Onagomingkway Chapter covers the western part of the Upper Peninsula.
